On Tuesday August 4, the City of Manassas held America’s Night Out Against Crime at the Museum’s front lawn. Although the weather was a challenge, it did not stop the event from continuing. Especially the Manassas Police Department whose display continued to stay up while the storm passed by. The weather did delay the event for about 10 minutes, but it continued afterwards better than ever.
There were many children who played in the moon bounce that was located at the corner of the Manassas Museum lawn. There was also rescue trucks both old and new.
As time went by, more and more people came to learn about crime safety and enjoy the many activities offered during the event. It was wonderful to see a community participate for a great cause.
