The 5th Annual Stand Strong for Education was hosted on November 5th at Metz Middle School. The event started with a ribbon cutting at the entrance of the school. Dr. Catherine Magouyrk, Superintendant, Manassas City Public Schools (MCPS) and Ms. Zuzana Steen, President, Manassas Public Schools Education Foundation (MCPSEF), had the honors of cutting the ribbon. Osbourn High School Marching Band kicked off the event with an energetic performance and Metz Cheerleaders added to the celebration.

Community businesses and organizations were set up in the Commons Area showing their support for MCPS. Sponsors included: Miller Toyota, SFMC, and Micron

CCN Manassas photographed members of the community in fun props in front of the colorful polka dot backdrop. It was a large crowd of more than 719 people.  Thank you MCPSEF for organizing this successful event for education!
