Episode VII: Star Wars: The Force Awakens, was released on December 18th, 2015. Star Wars has had one of the biggest impacts on our culture and draws in audiences from all ages around the world. Since the release of the first movie in 1977, Episode IV: A New Hope, Star Wars has made over 4 billion dollars according to box office mojo.
Star Wars surrounds us with TV shows, video games, toys, merchandise, costumes, and much more. This is why Episode VII surpassed all movies in the box office and has made over $238 million over the weekend of its release in the US. Globally, the new Star Wars movie has made over $528 million, surpassing Jurassic World. Perfect timing for schools and universities closing for the holiday break.
We will have to wait two years for the continuation of the Star Wars movie series.
