The grand opening for Habitat for Humanity Restore was held on January 30th. There was a great crowd of people who attended. The store was filled with volunteers and workers who truly cared about what their mission. Many people started lining up at the front doors anticipating the selections of goods inside at 8:00 a.m.
There were people in the street as Hal Parrish, donors and community partners gathered to hear speeches. CCN Manassas was able to catch a few photos with the Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club of Northern Virginia and other contributors at the grand opening.
Cake, donuts, and coffee were served. After the ribbon cutting ceremony, the store filled with long lines of customers with volunteers eager to help. There were also guest performances, singers and Elvis for fun-filled entertainment inside the store. Food trucks lined up outside with a moon bounce for kids. It was truly an amazing sight to see as all the goods had been donated. Not only did CCN Manassas get to be a part of this event, but so did Bull Run Rotary Interact Club.
We wish Habitat for Humanity Restore future success! Keep up the great work!
