Dedicated volunteers participated in the Manassas March of Dimes 5K Walk on Sunday, April 24th. Passionate people donated to the March of Dimes foundation to improve the health of babies. Money donated goes towards research to prevent premature births, birth defects and infant mortality.
The sun was high in the sky at noon with a refreshing, light breeze- the perect day for a run. The event started off at the Harris Pavilion as runners sported colorful purple, blue, orange and green shirts to represent their organization. Osbourn’s ROTC, and NovantHealth volunteers were spotted at the walk!
Wine Energy provided the walkers with fresh fruit and water afterwards as a way of thanking them for their donations and participation. Families and companies supported an amazing cause to make a difference for local infants in our very community, which CCN captured!
