This past Sunday on September 18th, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) hosted the annual Out of the Darkness Walk as a way to gather those who have gone through mental illness or know or have even lost a loved one to it. Happiness filled the environment in a bittersweet way as families dressed in T-shirts with the lost ones names and pictures as a marker that they are still loved and missed. It was heartwarming to see positivity when dealing with difficult situations.
