Chilly nights persisted in December 2, as everyone pulled out their layers getting ready for the beautiful evening in witnessing the Annual Merry Old Town: Christmas Tree Lighting.

As the night was full of cold breezes, many people still came out. All filling the lawns of the Manassas Museum. Everyone gathered around torches or fires to stay warm and enjoying Osbourn performing arts students give a holiday cheer of singing and playing.
While enjoying treats for everyone to snack on: of cookies and drinks were available. In addition, the museum also featured “Deck the Museum”, Christmas Trees decorated by students from Haydon Elementary.

CCN members walked around Old Town Manassas capturing the beauty of Lights surrounding the area. Lights covered the trees, signs, and buildings, illuminating the beauty of Old Town at night.

The time came close to lighting up the big tree before the Manassas Museum. Santa and Mrs. Claus made an appearance, causing everyone to surround the tree or the stage on the lawn. Excitement was felt throughout the moment and the countdown came starting from 10..and then..3..2.1! The crowd roars with cheers as the tree lights up.

A night for families and loved ones to share a moment in witnessing the Lighting of the Christmas Tree, ended with a magical success.
