On Thursday, March 23rd, Metz Middle School hosted their Annual Wellness Fair. The fair aimed to bring out to community and encourage healthy habits through fun activities. Families traveled down the school halls and get height, weight, vision, hearing and teeth screened. Raffle tickets were given with every activity completed throughout the afternoon.
Organizations around the Manassas community volunteered and had their own booths that focused on promoting health. Inter Service Club Council Greater Manassas, The Boys’ and Girls’ Club, Patient First, , the Virginia Dance Center, Bull Run Foot Clinic, iNTotal Health, Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) had their very own spots in the Wellness Fair.
The school lunch lines served healthy BBQ beef and drumsticks, taquitos, chorizo, turkey sticks, fruit, granola bars and water completely free!
Children could collect crayons, coloring books, hats, pins, have their face painted as well as play in the indoor gym. The Virginia Dance Center performed this year just like they did last year-another great act!
The Metz Wellness Fair stands true to the care our city has for the citizens and children- it is an amazing event.
